How do I add the bot to my channel?
Log in with your Twitch account, then click "Add bot to Twitch" on your dashboard. That's it. Translations start automatically.
What languages are supported?
8 languages, with automatic detection: Japanese, Mandarin, Cantonese, Korean, Russian, Thai, Arabic, and Spanish. 10 more are on the way, including French, Portuguese and German.
What does it cost?
Nothing. The bot is free to use, with no message limits and no payment details required. We may add paid features later, and would announce them in advance.
Can the bot translate English messages into my language?
Yes. Turn on "English → another language" in your dashboard and pick the language, and the bot translates English messages for your chat. Useful if you stream in a language other than English and want your whole audience to follow along.
Do I need to mod the bot?
It's recommended. Modding the bot (/mod gstring) lets it bypass slow mode and other chat restrictions, so its translations always reach chat.
Is there a delay in translations?
Translations typically appear within a few seconds of the original message. The exact speed depends on message length and current load.
What is the !ask command?
!ask lets viewers put a question to the bot directly in chat and get an answer back. Type !ask followed by the question. You choose who may use it, and how the bot answers, from the dashboard.
Does it work with BTTV and 7TV emotes?
Yes. The bot recognises third-party emotes and won't try to translate them, so emote-heavy messages are handled cleanly.
